One of the more interesting and different thrillers I've read in a long time. A fresh author who knows how to entertain his readers with a twist in every chapter to keep the reader guessing until the last page. I highly recommend Crab Louie to embrace the adventurer in you in a real barn burner. I highly recommend this story for readers looking for a real barn burner and not a run of the mill, formula type mystery. Ronald Conboy
CRAB LOUIE is a absolute delight for the senses. Robert Pacholik is one of those rare breed of writers gifted with the ability to draw readers "into" his books, to such a degree that I was surprised to discover my lack of suntan, when I'd finished the 3rd or 4th chapter!! Although, I must admit a strange craving for gin & tonic. And I don't drink!!!
Reading Crab Louie, I was reminded of the works of Ian Fleming, without the rancor toward women & the world in general. Our hero, Jonathan is a "retired" Expat from the East Coast. And he is blissfully happy, though a bit lonely for his lady, Elaine. Who does, of course, arrive in paradise, much to Jonathans' delight...and for a brief period of time, these 2 loves have everything going their way....And at this point I must stop. ...Spoilers )..
From this point on, Jonathan and company have their hands full with a plethora of villains and village idiots which should please just about every ADULT READER. I loved Crab Louie and am constantly hoping for Crab Louie, Part Deux.
