UPDATED FOR 2017. Trying to pass your Series 66 Exam? Pass The 66™ is written with the reader always in mind. This Series 66 exam study guide uses Plain English and concise explanations as it ticks off the items mentioned on the NASAA Series 66 exam outline point-by-point. To reduce your frustration in obtaining your Series 66 license, we try to make sure each sample question in our Pass the 66™ Practice Exam Question Bank is explained within this textbook. In fact, we encourage you to use this study guide while working through the Series 66 sample questions. When you encounter a tough practice question, you can quickly and easily look it up in this textbook in order to come away from the question with a deeper understanding of the topics involved. Remember that the Series 66 license exam is not a memorization test but, rather, a "competency exam.” Too many Series 66 exam candidates go to the testing center expecting to simply recognize a few vocabulary terms when, in fact, passing your test requires you to work with the information at a much deeper level. That's why we explain things in a way you'll both understand and remember at the testing center. It takes more work on our end, but we feel our job is to make things easier on your end. We also take what you learn in the pages of this Series 66 exam study guide to a higher level by presenting you with over 900 challenging questions in our Pass the 66™ Practice Exam Question Bank. However, our sample questions are not designed to merely trick you--which most people find discouraging and confusing at best. Rather, our Series 66 sample questions are designed to help you learn the information as you improve your ability to eliminate the incorrect answer choices you will see when taking the Series 66 exam. Be sure to keep a notebook filled with all that you learn from working the questions and reading the helpful explanations that follow. For an extra edge, try writing your own variations of practice questions in this same notebook, something our tutoring clients have found extremely helpful. Pass the 66™ is your guide to a passing score on the Series 66 exam. This textbook is at the same time in-depth and easy to read. We don't skimp on the details found on the NASAA outline. Rather, we skimp on the filler found in many of the more tedious license exam manuals on the market. To give yourself an edge on this difficult license exam buy this book and then go to www.examzone.com to purchase the Pass the 66™ Practice Exam Question Bank and other Series 66 study materials. The Series 66 exam is not easy. The best time to get started is . . . now.
Pass The 66 A Plain English Explanation To Help You Pass The Series 66 Exam Robert M Walker 9780983141181 Books
I just passed the 66 with a 79%, first attempt. Studied for 7 weeks, full time.I went through the entire Examzone program first, then purchased TC practice tests. Since I kept scoring low in the heaviest weighted area I went ahead and bought the Kaplan test bank which lets you build your own test. The Examzone materials do a good job explaining the WHY of things, which helps the process. The book throws out basic concepts in the beginning then details are added like a series of concentric circles.
The scope of the 66 is large for the amount of questions on the test. Exposure to as many different practice questions as you can is the key. Whenever I saw something new in a question or answer (even the "red herrings" answers) I would google it and write down a statement about it in a notebook, then review a day or two later.
Also, before studying for the 66, I went ahead and got my Life and Disability License (went to a live class). Speaking of red herrings, insurance terms seem to be a favorite.
Good Luck.

Pass The 66 A Plain English Explanation To Help You Pass The Series 66 Exam Robert M Walker 9780983141181 Books Reviews
I passed it - the second time I took it using this book and the examzone bank of question.
Just finished reading and I will start to find practice exams to take. He did add humor through out the book on this tough subject. Also bought index cards from another company to study with too. I am taking my time so I can hopefully pass on the first attempt.
This book easily explains the rules and refulations needed to know in order to pass the 66.
It made the material a little more interesting to read then the other books I had purchased. It was very helpful. I also purchased the exam zone quizzes and exams through the test site and also thought prepared me well. Passed the exam today and scored well on the heavier weighted areas.
Passed the first time! Taken other securities exams with other well known providers in the past and this conceptual experience of learning is superior! I also found the web access to training videos for quicker overview of topics and practice tests helpful during crunch time!
I bought Pass The 7 and Pass The 66 by Robert Walker. They're also available on Unlimited which was a huge win. Thanks .
As the title suggests, it explains all of the needed topics in plain English. He wonderfully simplifies the concepts to ensure you'll understand what you're reading. Where applicable, he repeats important concepts and integrates them with other concepts to maximize your retention. Very well done.
I purchased some other material and this was the best by far. Highly recommended.
I am not even exaggerating when I state that I've lost count as to how many times I had failed the Series 66 exam, it's embarrassing to admit. I purchased Kaplan and failed, Test Teachers and failed, Training Consultants and failed. I came across Pass The 66 on and decided why not, what do I have to lose? After reading the first two chapters I decided to call them and purchase additional study material. The man I spoke with on the phone suggested that after studying as much as I had I should just get the on-line Tests and Taking The Test suggestions on-line and man what a find. The on-line tests were insanely difficult but got my head into the testing process far more than any of the others. I can't recommend this program more highly! GET IT AND PASS the first time.
I had taken and failed the Series 66 exam on several attempts until I started reading Pass The 66.
