Sent to Boston, Massachusetts, from England for a two year assignment, author, psychologist, and humorist Steve Moysey recounts some of the social and linguistic blunders of his first year as an Expatriate. Having to come to terms with a whole new lexicon of terms and social norms, Moysey describes in hilarious details the perils of a trip to the doctors, having to deal with a new set of sign language, or simply just navigating through everyday life in New England. It’s a wicked pissah read!!!
I Said A Bad Word? Blunders of a Brit in Boston Steve Moysey 9781523609109 Books
Steve has done a great job blending his witty humour and writing skills to create a very entertaining and in many ways useful guide to the nuances of U.K. and U.S. uses of the English language. As an American ex-pat my self, it certainly was a fun read that had me chuckling the entire time as he went into great detail of some rather embarrassing situations that anyone who has had such experiences will fully appreciate. Nice work Dr. Moysey. You did it again.Product details

This is a fun and easy read. The stories are hilarious. Steve Moysey writes clearly with wit, finesse and candor. I strongly recommend this book for anglophiles, lovers of the English language and anyone who enjoys a good laugh.
“I liked this little book very much. Not only is it funny, it is also quite insightful about human dynamics.”
Steve Moysey is one funny author! This isn't his first book, but it is his first comedic book! In this book, he talks about moving from England to New England and the transition that he had to make between the cultures and languages.
I would strongly recommend this book to anyone who wants to have a good laugh on the Brits and the New Englanders!
Not an accomplished story teller. Boring. A few interesting bits
This is an easy ready. Lots of laughs. Would highly recommend!
It was above and beyond. Made me chuckle and even laugh out loud. Great read
This was a fun read! I wish it was longer. (And it even came in handy during a recent trip to England, particularly the part about driving on the wrong side of the road.)
Highly recommended!
